Ok, so this post is a little bit overdue [the concert was October 10] but this new job has really messed up wtih my blogging schedule... go figure! So back to the post. This was our third Wisin y Yandel concert. Yes, we love them. It's the third one in a row for the honey, and the second one in a row for me. I went to the first one when I was 15. Again, many of you may not be familiar with them or their music. They are from Puerto Rico and they sing reggaeton music.
If you have no clue what I'm talking about.. emm GOOGLE it. Kidding. It is a music genre that was created and developed in Puerto Rico. It's pretty much the music I grew up listening to. It is dancing/partying/clubbing music. Nothing romantic, or nothing you want your 8yr. old listening to. Although, I have to admit, the genre has come a long way, and their lyrics are a lot more decent now, than what they used to be when I was younger.
The concert was at the Staples Center, it was full to capacity, which obviously made me proud. The concert itself, let's just say I'd give it a 3 out of 5 stars, and that is without counting the opening act cause that would make it a -8 out of 5. Yes, it was THAT bad, I almost wanted to die. Regarding Wisin y Yandel, I've seen better [meaning, I've seen them do better]. But then again, the crowd's different. NOBODY was dancing at this concert. NOBODY! Except me and the honey [or the honey and I, or whatever]. That really shocked me.
This time, I took bazillions of pictures, no kidding. Also, did you note how close we were?? YAY for good seats. Moving on... if you want to see all the pics, hit me up, or leave a comment here and I'll make an album in my flickr account.
Here's a video of one of their latest songs. You can also go here, if you want to know more info about them.
